Mostly Nerello Mascalese with a little Nerello Cappuccio from the Bonaccorsi vineyards in Randazzo. Fermentation and maceration on skins in stainless steel, the wine is transferred to mature in older barriques. This wine is always released with age to allow more complexity and softer tannins. Spicy and expressive, with sweet and mineral tones.

Alice Bonaccorsi is a cornerstone of viticulture on Mt Etna. At her Valcerasa estate 800 metres above sea level in Crucimonaci, Alice and her husband Rosario Pappalardo produce wines from Massal-selected old vines planted by her father Vincenzo. The bush vines are rooted in sandy and volcanic soil in small terraces separated by walls of lava stone and are managed without chemicals.
